New Years Resolutions:

1. Read 25 books this year
2. Lose 30 lbs this year (I’m already 2 lbs down! Wahoo!)
3. Begin the process of getting my teaching license
4. Read the New Testament straight through

I hope that my children marry someone of a different race someday. I think mixed babies are so cute.

I’m getting married in 18 days!

"You have saved us! You have won! Sin is broken, death is GONE. Freedom’s found us, breakthrough’s near. In Your presence, no more fear!"

it’s been a while since i posted anything on here. work and class were both beautifully canceled today, though i do miss those sweet girls that i babysit. so strange how infants can capture your heart in such a short amount of time. thankful to God for Veronica’s heart for internationals which led me to this job that i adore.

wedding planning is going fairly smoothly. we have a caterer, cake, venue, dresses, tuxes—all of the big stuff. i’m about to be at the point where i can zoom in on some little details. i want to put a box on each table at the reception with a number on it. everyone at the table will write a letter that will go in these boxes. the number on the box will represent the anniversary that we will read these letters on. there’s only going to be 12 tables at the reception, so we’ll probably skip some years. i want to do big anniversaries like 25 and 50 years and for those, i want our grandparents to write the letters. how sweet will that be when i’m 71 to open a letter from my precious grandparents?

i graduate in a month and 10 days, which absolutely blows my mind. i just graduated from high school! time really does fly. i’ll have kids before i know it :) so much to do. so excited about moving to franklin and living 2 doors down from Trent until we get married.

you should travel. get out of this country. get out of the south. just go. if you’re young, there will never be a better chance until retirement, and then you won’t be able to do all you’re going to be able to do now. so go, while you’re young, and explore the streets of italy or the markets of thailand or go scuba diving in foreign waters. just. go.

sometimes I feel like being female is just a giant game of who can “one up” who.

The prayer of the righteous avails much. James 5:16

Trent and I are reading through the entire Bible together starting January 1. I’m really excited and I think it’ll be really cool to be reading it through as we’re approaching our wedding and then in the first few months of our marriage. Praying God grows me in my love for the Word through knowing it better this year!

I hope your Christmas was wonderful :)

"You will never be sorry for thinking before acting, hearing before judging, forgiving your enemies, being candid and frank in love, helping a fallen brother, thinking before speaking, closing your ears to gossip, bridling a slanderous tongue, harboring pure thoughts, sympathizing with the afflicted, being courteous and kind to all."

I just don’t understand how Christians can hate interracial/gay couples.

Love, the greatest of all things.
